Fiction Factory is a small company with a big
track record and a reputation for delivering innovative,
award-winning television drama.
Creative Director and Executive Producer Ed Thomas leads a
team of seasoned producers and up-and-coming talent. Over the
past five years alone, our remarkably effective team has produced
over 100 hours of programming, including documentaries, drama-docs
and over 90 hours of drama. We have over 70 nominations and
awards to our name, from BAFTA and Celtic Media Festival to the
Rose D'Or Prix Europa.
Since the company was established 15 years ago we have
developed and nurtured home-grown Welsh talent, and have continued
our excellent relationship with them. Over the years these
collaborators have included Matthew Rhys (Brothers and
Sisters, The Edge of Love), Rhys Ifans (Mr Nice, Harry
Potter), Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic
Four, Hornblower), Sian Phillips, Phillip
Madoc, Mark Lewis Jones, Dafydd Ieuan and Cian Ciaran from the
Super Furry Animals, John Cale, Cerys Matthews and Marc Evans
(My Little Eye, Collision).
Our reputation has evolved with our output, our
back-catalogue includes everything from fantastical gangland
escapades to unflinching, gritty police drama; from funky, urban
relationship drama to a 2000 year odyssey through Europe's oldest
surviving bardic tradition. We have proven ourselves to be
more than capable of delivering high-quality series with huge
scope.
Drama is our life-blood, our commitement to what we do and our
drive to achieve the best quality in whatever we do is what gets us
up in the morning. We're always on the look-out for the next
challenge, and we're constantly seeking fresh talent and new
partnerships with whom to evolve the company.
Since 2002 Fiction Factory has been part of the Tinopolis

producing 2500 hours of programming annually for more than 200
